Being Healthy Means Maintaining Your Ideal Body Weight
Published by admin on Tagged General HealthWhenever I am tired from work, I make it a point to go walking to de-stress and watch the world go by. In one of my many walking sessions, I realized that the world is a paradox of all sorts. You have a teenager who wants to be treated like a woman, but would otherwise ask her parents for a cone of ice cream. Or a woman who wants to be treated like a princess who is also very cold and strict to her subordinates.
These days, they say, is the digital age – the new world of convenience where people are given freedom from shopping to do something more important such as, well work. Never was a millenium so prosperous and so poor at the same time. We see millions and billions of money in banks, as more and more people are sleeping in the streets at night. We see more products trying to provide the right nutrients to consumers as more opt to take out burgers and fries from the nearest fast food chains. As new gym equipments are innovated to be user friendly, lesser people are coming to exercise. Go ahead and ask yourself, how many times have you put off going to the gym because you were to busy with work? Or that you are tired or too old? Because you are too fat or too skinny?
We see people getting bigger as the idea of weight loss is regarded as discriminating and is nothing but a novelty. But this isn’t true. I am neither an advocate of fashion nor prejudiced against obese people, but my experience showed me how important it is to maintan an ideal body weight. No, you don’t need to be sexy-beautiful, but you need to make sure that you are not weighing more that your feet can carry, or in other cases, not any lesser than you should be.
I used to be really skinny and a lot of my friends were envious. But you know, I had a difficult time finding clothes that looks good on me because I did not ave the right bumps in the right places. I loved playing volleyball, but I was afraid the ball would only flatten me, if not break atleast a bone. Whenever my parents look at me, I feel as if a sticker is plastered on my face saying “fragile”. So I ate to gain weight.
I ate a lot of fries, pizza, burger and soda. And what do you know, I gain 10 pounds in a month! Now I wear that red dress I bought last christmas. Sure I looked good so I got encouraged and ate some more. After three months, my eating habits were all messed up and I couldn’t control what I put in my mouth. Soon enough I started feeling bad and looking even worse. I had difficulty standing up for long periods of time. I got exhausted very easily and worse, I was hypertensive. My doctor advised me to lose weight because I had family history of cardiac problems. The fats I accumulated for a few months took years to shed off. I was lucky I stopped to check on myself before its too late.
Being too fat or to skinny is bad for our health. If you need to gain or lose weight, you need to get expert help. Make sure you consult with a dietician or a nutritionalist, there are proper ways on how to do these things.

I agree with you. The most essential state for a body is staying healthy. Healthy diet and healthy enthronement helps to gain healthy mind. Staying away from Smoking, Alcohol, Fast foods are certainly hard to resist but these are the major factors that shorten your life and helps in degrading your mental and physical state.
